Past Histories have included histories, articles about memories of past generations, genealogies of some favorite sons and a variety of other subjects. We are printing name lists, events, little known facts, and old newspaper articles. Many articles are written by our own members and updates on new genealogy materials. We are always looking for that rare piece of information, the article, the picture that's been buried by time and almost entirely forgotten and hasn't seen the light of day in nearly one hundred years or more. This is the treasure that we hope to find and have in each newsletter.
Articles from members relating to this county may be submitted for publication. We welcome these and your comments. We cannot promise that we will print all of them, but in time would hope that we can use most of them.
There are also messages from the President of the Cypress Basin Genealogical & Historical Society and others about programs and other subjects that our society is concerned with.
For those who cannot attend the monthly meeting of the society our publications are your contact with us. It is the next best way of gathering genealogy and historical information on Titus County and others without being there.
The Society meets on the second Thursday of each month at 2:00 p.m. except for the month of July. Each month we try to have a program to teach us about a different aspect of genealogical research or tell us about research in different parts of the United States or in other countries. The location of the meetings is:
Old Union Community Center
