Suffered mild brain damage as a child from a head injury. A handyman, helped his mother keep up several rent houses on 6th street in Seminole. Eugene and his mother, Bertha, supported themselves hanging wallpaper. Later Eugene operated tropical fish store. Enjoyed fishing. Was a natural musician, played several instruments.
