• Notes

  John owned Seminole's ice making plant. He also drove a team of mules or horses pulling a "drey" wagon (like a moving van). Once he dragged a man out of the Corner Bar with ice tongs under the man's armpits. The man had evidently called John's brother Dan an insulting name, so John dragged him the length of main street with the tongs. Another version of this is thaat it occurred in the Commercial Hotel.
