- Obituary for Peggy Ann Reynolds
Peggy Ann Pressly was born September 6, 1938 to Virtelle and Fred Pressly in Corsicana. She was an only child. Except for time away during World War II, she spent her growing up years in Corsicana. She graduated from Corsicana High School, where she was a cheerleader in 1956. That same year Peggy was married to Bill Reynolds. They spent their early marriage in Germany due to his time in the army and were able to travel to other countries. Peggy had three sons, Doug, Dan and Scott. She spent much of her time making a home for them, cooking and attending their activities. Scott preceded her in death in June of 2006.
Peggy's work history includes K Wolens and Sears as a teen and young adult. Later, in Fort Worth, she worked in the Sporting Goods store they owned, in copier sales with Hutco, and in her own copier business, The Copy Solution. Along the way, she delved into antiques and collectibles, having a space in Canton for a number of years and booths in antique malls. In later years, she even sold Mindy Lu's fried pies out of the back of her vehicle.
Along with her parents and grandparents before her, Peggy was a lifelong Presbyterian. She made her profession of faith at a young age and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Peggy Reynolds died on November 1, 2014 after several years of serious health struggles which she fought valiantly. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Scott. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Diane, Dan and Deborah, grandchildren Josh and Alyssa, great grand-daughter Hadlee Marie, extended family members and many friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 5th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Services will be on Thursday, November 6th 1:00 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church. There will be a private burial after the service.
