    • FARMER, Mrs. Lois Nobles "Mawmaw", 83, a lifelong resident of the Lightwood Community in Elmore County passed away Monday, August 31, 2009. Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Simpler, Rev. Kenneth Garner, Rev. B.J. Parson and Rev. Josh Cook officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Mrs. Farmer is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold R. Farmer; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Brenda Farmer; daughter and son-in-law, Jennie and Jimmy Bridges; 2 brothers, Winston (Shirley) Nobles and Buddy Nobles; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Maureen (Bill) Shields.
