  Charles Culver : He enlisted in Co. C, 50th Reg't, Alabama Infantry on September 17, 1861. He was mustered in on September 20, 1861 at Iuka, MS. His name appears on the Register of those killed, wounded or missing of the Second Corps, Army of the Mississippi, at the Battle of Shiloh, April 6 & 7, 1862 - "Killed at 8:00 am, April 6, shot through the head and neck." This was during the first three hours of the battle. His name and record also appear on the National Park Service computor at Shiloh, TN.
