    • Stella M. Black, 87, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2008, at her residence. A native of Scottsboro, Alabama, she had spent the past 55 years in Chattanooga and retired from Buster Brown with 43 years of service. Mrs. Black was a member of the Higdon Free Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Black; parents, John and Susie Morgan; sisters, Mae Guffey and Myrtle Rutledge; and brother, Grady Morgan. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law of Chattanooga; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister of Huntsville, AL; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service held October 13 in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, Rossville with Brother Charles Willmon officiating. Burial in Oak Grove Holiness Church Cemetery, Grant, AL. Chattanooga Times Free Press, October 13, 2008
