    • J.C. Lilly, 63, of Greenville, passed away December 29, 2011 in Dallas. He was born March 24, 1948 in Greenville to Hiram and Sarah Jane Dickson Lilly. J.C. proudly served his country in the US Army from 1968 to 1970 during the Vietnam War, serving in Germany. He also worked as a newspaper distributor for the Dallas Morning News. He was a member of Vansickle Baptist Church. J.C. is survived by his son Jesse Lilly of Frisco; daughter, Suzann Burks and her husband William of Cash; brother, Calvin Lilly and his wife Joyce of Greenville; sister, Virginia Prieb of Minnesota; uncle, O.D. Dickson of Greenville; grandchildren, Alyssa, Koby, Carolyn Burks; and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Nell Isham and Linda Smith, two brothers, James and Jesse Lilly. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, January 2, 2012 at LYNCH Funeral Service in Greenville. Donations may be made to Veteran’s Affairs. The family requests that friends and family dress casually and wear Texas Rangers’ colors. Online condolences may be made at lynchfuneralservice.com. LYNCH Funeral Service of Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
