1228 | OBIT Kenneth Dale Reynolds 1937 - 2008 Basham Funeral Care Kenneth Dale Reynolds went home to be with the Lord on October 23, 2008. He was surrounded by his family and his close friends at the time of his passing. Kenneth was born in Plainview, Texas on April 28, 1937. During the past 38 years, Kenneth resided in Kern County with his loving wife and his six children. Throughout his life, Kenneth loved the Lord and he possessed a God-given musical talent that enabled him to touch the hearts and lives of all those who knew him. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Mary with whom he shared his life for 52 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Mary Stopher and his sons, Kenneth, Danny, Matthew, Jeffrey and Dirk Reynolds as well as 29 grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren. Kenneth is preceded in death by his mother, father, three brothers and two sisters. He will be forever loved and dearly missed by all of his surviving family whose names are too numerous to mention. Graveside services will be held at Union Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, October 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Ken Price of Lamont Assembly of God Church will be officiating. She married Elton Tom Cornelius on Sept 9, 1936, in Blanket and he died Jan. 1, 1969. She married Lenard Chamberlain on Aug. 26, 1982, in Coleman. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ronald Cornelius and Kendall Cornelius, both of Zephyr; two daughters, Myrna Wright of Comanche and Sandra Assenmacher of Abilene; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 1231 | Obituary for Peggy Ann Reynolds Peggy Ann Pressly was born September 6, 1938 to Virtelle and Fred Pressly in Corsicana. She was an only child. Except for time away during World War II, she spent her growing up years in Corsicana. She graduated from Corsicana High School, where she was a cheerleader in 1956. That same year Peggy was married to Bill Reynolds. They spent their early marriage in Germany due to his time in the army and were able to travel to other countries. Peggy had three sons, Doug, Dan and Scott. She spent much of her time making a home for them, cooking and attending their activities. Scott preceded her in death in June of 2006. Peggy's work history includes K Wolens and Sears as a teen and young adult. Later, in Fort Worth, she worked in the Sporting Goods store they owned, in copier sales with Hutco, and in her own copier business, The Copy Solution. Along the way, she delved into antiques and collectibles, having a space in Canton for a number of years and booths in antique malls. In later years, she even sold Mindy Lu's fried pies out of the back of her vehicle. Along with her parents and grandparents before her, Peggy was a lifelong Presbyterian. She made her profession of faith at a young age and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Peggy Reynolds died on November 1, 2014 after several years of serious health struggles which she fought valiantly. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Scott. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Diane, Dan and Deborah, grandchildren Josh and Alyssa, great grand-daughter Hadlee Marie, extended family members and many friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 5th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Services will be on Thursday, November 6th 1:00 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church. 1232 | Obituary from Sulphur Springs Newspaper Loyd F. "Doodle" Beadles Funeral services for Loyd F. (Doodle) Beadles age 67 were held in Sulphur Springs at 10:00 am Saturday March 27 in West Oaks Funeral Chapel with Rev Larry Davis and Rev Cletis Speed officiating. Interment will be in the Posey Cemetery. Pallbearers: Blake Beadles, Brad Norris, Kelly Dixon, Chris Dixon, Larry Norton, Larry Speed, Gary Speed and Richard Pryor. Mr. Beadles died at 1:33 PM Wednesday, March 24 in Hopkins County Nursing Home following an extended illiness. He was born in Peerless, Texas September 4, 1931, the son of Louis E. and Dollie Dell Robertson Beadles. He attended North Hopkins High School and was a long time resident of Arlington, Texas prior to returning to Hopkins County. He was a retired 30 year employee of General Motors Corporation, being employeed in the Paint Department of the Corp. after which he began a career in dairy farming and cattle trading. He was a member of the Baptist Church and attended the Posey Baptist Church. He married Jo Ann Dixon in Hopkins County on August 31, 1952. She preceeded him in death on June 22, 1989. He then married Beth Johnson in the Posey Community on July 4, 1990. She survives. Other survivors: three sons, Rich Beadles and wife Patti - Garland, Texas; Rodney Beadles and wife Cindy - Arlington, Texas; David Beadles - Fort Worth, Texas; an adopted son Jeff Shoemaker - Fort Worth, Texas; step-sons: Billy Gene Beadles and wife Mary - Sulphur Springs, Texas; two sisters Marlene Marter and husband Joe - Garland, Texass and Geraldine Day and husband Dave - Campbell, Texas; step brothers, T.H. Burks and wife Patsy - Pixton, Texas; Wiley Burks and wife Dera - Chorpus Christi; step sisters Vera Mae Glossup and husband Weldon, Sue Walker and husband Lelland, and Modene Sims and husband Roy all of Sulphur Springs, fifteen grandchildren. Born Monday, September 22, 1947 in Decatur, Alabama, he was the son of the late Roy Eckstein and the late Ila Dean Wales Eckstein. He was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and a member of Wooley Springs Church of Christ. He was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed visiting family and friends. He was the owner of Eckstein's Grocery Store at Pinedale.
