Walter C. Reynolds

Walter C. Reynolds, the first son and second child of James R. Reynolds and Martha Jane Dukes was born on January 18th, 1876, in I believe, Jackson county, Alabama. Walter moved to Titus county, Texas with his parents, at about the age of twelve. Walter followed in his father's footsteps by working, as many did in that time, as a farmer.

Walter grew up in Cookville, Titus county, Texas and at the age of 24, on September 2, 1900 he married Miss. Sallie Meece, the daughter of Mack Meece and Sarah Iebell. Sallie was born on January 29, 1892 in Titus county. Walter and Sallie had a total of six children:

		John, who was born on October 28, 1901, I am not sure who John married but I do know that he had one daughter, Doris Faye Reynolds. John died on September 8, 1938 and is buried in Cookville, Texas;
		Lena Jane, born January 23, 1905;
		Bessie Wallace, born October 27, 1907, and
		Lola Ann, born October 5, 1909; Hulen; and Tommie, who was born on March 27, 1915.

Walter died in Titus county on February 17th, 1925 at the age of 49, he was buried there in Cookville. Sallie lived another 23 years and after Walter's death, she married his Uncle, Arthur C. Reynolds. Sallie died on November 11, 1953 at the age of 61. She is buried in the Lone Star Cemetery in Morris County, Texas.
