Mary Lucinda Reynolds

Mary Lucinda Reynolds was the youngest child or Henry Reynolds and Mary Brown. She was their ninth child and fifth daughter and was born on August 6, 1844 in Jackson County, Alabama.

Lucinda married Gilbert Davis on February 12, 1861 in Jackson County. On the 1870 Federal Census for Hillians Store, Jackson County, Alabama, it shows that Gilbert was a farmer and that they had two children, a daughter, Angesanna, age 7 and a son Albert H., age 3/12 months. (the census was taken on 8/20/1870).

Next to Lucinda is buried a W. T. Davis that was born April 19, 1882 and died on May 31, 1911. This is perhaps a son of Mary Lucinda and Gilbert. Also, because of the time between the birth of Albert, 1870, and W.T., 1882, it is possible that there were other children born to this marriage.

There is also many Davis' that are buried in the Concord Cemetery in Morris County, Texas, is it possible that some of her children moved to the Titus County area with their cousins?

Mary Lucinda died on December 26, 1918 in Jackson County, Alabama and is buried in the Langston Cemetery. I do not have any information on when or where Gilbert Davis died.
