QUERY: I have post on this site before, and got some help. But I was unclear my self on some facts, which I am still am. I know for sure that most of this family (Reynolds) that I put in this are buried in Violet Hill Cemetery Perry, IA. I am looking for some information on the Reynolds of Perry IA I know that Mr & Mrs C P Reynolds are the Great Grandparents of Terry Leighty. Charles F & Alma J Reynolds are his grandparents. Emery C, Frank E., Harold E, and Herbert E, Reynolds, are his Uncles or possible Uncles. With Florence E, & Elizabeth Cecilia, Reynolds, being the wife's of the Uncles. Is there any information this site on the Reynolds? I do not know much of the family members. But I would like to find out more. I need more direction on this members and there descendents. I would like to find more out about there lifes, families. I hope some one can help me or directed me to find out more about these folks and the connection through time to the Reynolds family. URL:

QUERY: I am looking for information on JABEZ REYNOLDS born 1/17/1771 (we believe in North Kingston, RI). Jabez married Mary (Polly) Mills in Seneca Co, NY in 1805. Mary is the daughter of Isaac Mills.
I am also looking for three Reynolds brothers "of Irish decent that came over to the US from England". The three brothers are Jabez, Benjamin and Simeon Reynolds.

Thomas REYNOLDS (b1733 North Kingston) married Elizabeth HOPKINS.
They had Thomas REYNOLDS (b1753 West Greenwich) whose wife is known to me only as Mary. She died Nov 2, 1844 in Lyons, NY.
They had Joseph F. REYNOLDS (b 1781 Washington Co., NY) who married a Ruth HOPKINS OR ROSS. Ruth was born Oct 23, 1780 in Williamson, NY. Can anyone help me with the surnames of Mary or Ruth? And of course, anything on their ancestors would be helpful.

QUERY: My 4GGF John Phillips (b.1770 PA, d.1825 West Nottingham, Chester, PA) married 1794 Martha Reynolds (b. 1780-1781 MD, d. 29 Nov 1866 West Nottingham, Chester, PA).
Once source (The Reynolds Family 1530-1959) shows that she may be the daughter of Samuel Reynolds (b.17 Dec 1756 PA) married 4 Jul 1776 Isabel King (b. 3 Jul 1794).
However, the Quaker records on Ancestry.com show that Samuel and Isabel has a daughter Margaret (NOT Martha) born 3 Jul 1794 and that she was not married to John Phillips.
I would like to know if Margaret was the daughter of Samuel and Isabel.
If she is not their daughter do you have any information about her parents?

QUERY: Looking for information and family members of John Pritchett Reynolds, b. 12/1833 in Indiana.
In the 1850 US Census for Lancaster, Jefferson County, MO is listed a William S. Reynolds, born in CT in 1803, wife is Delilah (Gurley?), b. 1802. Children are Charles, John, Martha, Charity, and Joseph L. I believe this John is my gr gr grandfather but need verification. William S. Reynolds may be the son of Squire Reynolds and Patty Permelia Rice but will need verification of this as well.
In the 1870 US Census, William and Delilah, still in Lancaster, Jefferson County, MO are listed as living with Joseph and his wife Harriet with children George, age 5 and Lovanna, age 3.
John Pritchett Reynolds served in the Civil War, enlisting 8/15/1862 for the Union, KY, 10th Calvary Regiment. He mustered out 9/8/1863 in Maysville, KY. He married Anna Mariah (Stockton, daughter of Robert and Nancy (Montgomery) Stockton of Ohio). John and Anna's children were Loring Robert, Myrtle Ida (Bill Liddeke), Ora Mae (Gerry Hartman), and John Hiram (Pearl Gillespie), a baptist minister. John is listed in the 1900 US Census as living in Cooper, Gentry County, MO and was a blacksmith. He lists his father as being born in Connecticut and mother in Ohio.
I would appreciate any information that might link up and verify my John P. Reynolds line.

QUERY: Dear Reynolds cousins, I have a 'mysterious' great-great-grandfather who refuses to be found, so I am reduced to desperate measures in my search for him! There is very little known about him, basically this:
His surname was something like Rause, Rause(n), Rausch, Rouse, and the like, or possibly even Reynolds/Ranals/Rennalds/Runnells,etc.. First name unknown.
Apparently he married (although there is some question about this) my gggrandmother, Lucinda Isabelle REYNOLDS circa 1870,
location unknown, though possibly in Illinois or Missouri. She was born 29 August 1854 in Morgan County (maybe Jacksonville?), Illinois, the last of the 12 or 13 children of James Madison REYNOLDS/RUNNELLS and Amelia HAND REYNOLDS (circa 1815-1855). James was born possibly in Ireland or in Virgina, circa 1790-1810. He married Amelia 20 September 1832 In Greene County, Illinois and died 1860 in Morgan County.
"Lulu Belle" and unknown had one child together, a son named Claudius Paul. Claude was born 6 August 1874 in East St. Louis, St. Clair County, Illinois. At some point while he was still a little boy, his father was killed in a train accident in St. Louis while traveling the country with his stable of racing horses, or so the family story goes. He may have been Irish (or German?) and of a New York banking family.
That's the extent of my knowledge of! Lucinda remarried in 1878 to Thomas Henry Faulkner in Sangamon County, Illinois and he adopted Claude, at which point the boy's original surname was lost to history.
If anyone can shed some light on this I would be most grateful, and I thank you so much for taking the time to read this!

He was born in Tompkins Co NY, which used to include present Schuyler Co. Moved to PA in the 1840's and married Permelia Brown. His brothers were George and William. His sisters were Roxena? and Sally. His family included Earl Emerson(1861),Ina Mae(1870),Charles Slocum(1867) and Everett Lyle(1865).
One item found suggested that his father may have been a Jedidiah Reynolds m. Almira.
He is found in Mead twp,Crawford Co PA in the 1860,1880 and 1910 Census, listed as John or John H., also found spelled as Johnathon.

QUERY: I am seeking information about my ggg grandfather, Nathan Reynolds who was born in Horseneck (which I assume is in CT) in 1777 moved to Kortright Delaware County in 1783 with his father Eli Reynolds. Nathan had an older brother Eli, Jr. who is listed on the 1790 Census in Delaware County with their father Eli.
Nathan married Margaret Jaquish, daughter of Revolutionary War veteran, John Jaquish, and they eventually moved (about 1830-1836) to what is today Schuyler County in the village of Burdett in the town of Hector. Nathan died in Burdett, NY in 1864. His youngest son Hiram Reynolds (1825-1910) was the father of my great grandmother Eulalia Reynolds Argetsinger (1863-1956).
Among Nathan and Margaret's twelve children there was a son Justus who died as an infant.
Nathan's father Eli is buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Bloomville, NY in the town of Kortright. Eli was born in 1733 and d. in 1817. His wife was Mary (1734-1808). I am trying to find out who Eli's father was.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
