My relatives were:
Allen REYNOLDS b Oct 21, 1787 (Saratoga Cty. NY) d. Jan 18, 1864 m. Susanna ALLEN b. Sept 9, 1787 (Massachusetts) d. Apr 12 1862. They lived and died in the Town of Galen, NY (now in Wayne Cty.) I believe Allen and Susanna were married in Greenfield, Saratoga cty, NY. Allen Reynolds most likely had other relatives in the Wayne cty. We know he had a nephew, Elnathan Reynolds, according to census records–born in Ontario Cty, NY–living with him for a short period.

Aug 11, 1855 (m. Helen Johnson) Lillian - b. Jan 4, 1862 Walter Vail - b. May 29, 1865 (m. Grace DeVoe) Wallace (Walter's twin) - b. May 29, 1865 Amaziah and his brother William both moved from Galen to Wolcott, (Wayne Cty) NY, in where they purchased land in 1848. William moved from Wolcott and was last known to live in Junius, Seneca cty., NY. I do have some info on William, but not sure if its accurate. Some of his family married into the Bigelow family. QUERY: Angus Reynolds born abt 1821 married to german lady her mane may have been Margaret. Lived in Ind. had a son abt 1853 named William who moved to Nebraska. This family may have lived in NY and Angus may have been born in OH. Most of this information I was able to get from Williams marriage cert. and Nebraska census. Found an Angus on 1850 Ind Census with two sons but this would have been before William , lost track of them after that. They also had a woman living with them named Porter age 23. Also later my grandfather had been given the name Temple , this is an unusual name wonder if this is a family name.

QUERY: Seeking to identify the parents and confirm the siblings of Lewis Reynolds, b. Dec 1806 in Grainger Co., TN. The line appears in Grainger Co., TN, in the 1810 census and, we believe, in the reconstructed remains of an earlier (1800/1801) VA census of "Army Lands." We suspect that Lewis' father was William Reynolds, born ca.1765 - 1784 (from the 1810 Grainger census data) in VA (according to family lore). This William evidently had a brother, James, who shows up in both these census returns, but not in Grainger Co. census data after 1810. William continues to appear in various public records in Grainger Co. until 1816, then disappears from the records. The next firm record we have of this family is the marriage of Lewis Reynolds in Grainger Co., TN, in Dec 1828. After that, we are certain that Lewis, his wife, and, we believe, brothers, William and Thomas, moved to Indiana and are found in an 1830 county census in that state. The suspected brothers, William and Thomas, do not appear in the census returns of the counties of IN that we've examined after the one of 1830.

Daniel Edgar REYNOLDS served in "F" Co., 141st NY Inf Vol during the Civil War. His pension application is on file in the National Archives.
I believe Daniel Edgar is the son of GARDNER and Mary (__) REYNOLDS. I also believe that he is a descendant of James and Deborah (__) REYNOLDS of Kingston, RI. This line would be Gardner(6), Gardner(5), Henry(4), Robert(3), Joseph(2) and James(1).

QUERY: Looking for parents of Justin Reynolds, b. 1796 in NY, resided 1840 Fairfield, Crawford Co, PA; 1850 & 1860 in Girard Twp, Erie Co., PA. Wife's name Lucretia. Children: Harvey Isaac, b. 1837, William b. 1841, Mary b. 1845. Harvey married Purlina Gray abt. 1858. Harvey & Purlina's children were William Henry 1859, Charles Wesley 1862, and Lewis Harvey 1865. William and Charles were born in Oil City, PA. Lewis was born in Wisconsin. Shortly after Lewis's birth in 1865, Harvey disappeared and was presumed dead. Three years later Purlina married Charles O. Reynolds (b. 1846 Trumbull Co, OH, son of Charles B. Reynolds and Christine Spangler), who was called a 'cousin' of Harvey Reynolds, although no relationship has been discovered. Many years later, about 1905, the family heard that Harvey Reynolds, presumed dead since 1865, had just died in PA. At the time it was a big family scandal, but now no records can be found to support it. Any info, ideas or guesses on Justin's family appreciated!
