Chapter Remembers Thier Namesake and Hears From Abigail Adams (November 20, 2021)

Members of Dr. Enemund Meullion Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution gathered Saturday October 19th to lay a wreath at the grave of our chapter namesake, Dr. Enemund Meullion. Present were President Mike Sawrie, Vice President Gervais Compton, Secretary/Registrar Brent Morock, Past President Dr. James Morock, Past President Pat Ryan, Taylor Thompson, Mike Lee, Dale Bordelon, John Bordelon, James Irby, Bob Cleveland. Joining us were members of Loyalty Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Regent Judy Porter, Treasurer Marlene Sawrie, Registrar Sue Lee, Bobby Hynson; also members of the Ladies Auxiliary SAR, Secretary Cheryl Morock & Teresa Compton. Presenting the wreath are descendants of Enemund Meullion, Gervais Compton and Taylor Thompson.

Chapter Recognizes Local Citizens (July 20, 2019)

The July 2019 chapter meeting was held in Marksville. LASSAR President Maj. Bradley Hayes presented recent law school graduate Ross Piazza with the Outstanding Citizenship award and a plaque for his volunteer work at the 321st Sustainment Brigade.

LASSAR President Maj. Bradley Hayes presented Judge Angelo Piazza with the Silver Good Citizenship Medal for his outstanding work on behalf of the residents of Avoyelles Parish and decades of public service.

Chapter President Mike Sawrie presented Jackson Vets with a certificate and check for his winning poster.
